A SUBJECT I ENJOY STUDYING THIS SEMESTER

One subject I enjoyed studying this semester was contemporary political ideas and debates. I enjoyed this course because we were reflecting on the current reality and the problems that surround us. Today there are many issues that we can talk about and reflect on, also considering that we are in a pandemic and some of these problems are increasing. 

THE PERSON THAT I ADMIRE

Malala is a civil rights activist, especially for women in Pakistan's Swat River Valley, where the Taliban regime has banned girls from attending school. Her ideals led her to be shot in the head as she was returning home from school by bus in the town of Mingora. Far from backing down, the young woman took her struggle to a global level. Her work led to her being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. At only seventeen years of age, she became the youngest person to receive this award. She is a great example of overcoming and constant struggle, that is why I admire her.

A PHOTOGRAPH AND ITS STORY

This photo is important to me because first, we are with my whole family and it reminds me how close we were and how much I love them. Now we don't see each other as often as we would like because of the pandemic we can't, but I know we will be able to get back to that in a while.

Also, in the picture we were at my brother's fourth grade dance, the one that takes place on national holidays. Since he was leaving school that year, it was a special day because it was his last dance. 

A MEAL OR A FOOD I REALLY LIKE

One food that I like a lot is pasta in general. I find Italian food very interesting and I find them easy to make. In general pasta is easy to come by, so it is a good food choice.

The bad thing about this food is that it has a lot of carbohydrates, so if eaten in excess, as happens a lot in this country, it can generate overweight or other similar problems. 

In spite of that, pasta is a very good food, if eaten responsibly, and can be enjoyed without any problem. I highly recommend them.

WHY I DID CHOOSE MY MAJOR

I am studying public administration because I always liked the humanistic area and I always wanted to work in something more social. I like public service and trying to help people with their problems through management. I hope to be a great professional and try to change the system in which we find ourselves, as it is often not fair and equitable. So that's why I decided to enter this career, I am very excited about it so far. 

WHATS MY FAVORITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

I think my favorite piece of technology is the cell phone. It's a device that I use every day and I couldn't live without it. I use it to stay connected to the world around me, talk to my family and friends, and find out what's going on at the moment. Also, since it is a small device, you can take it everywhere you go because it fits anywhere. I feel that it is one of the best technological devices that exists, and it is evolving more and more.
